Load sensor for a Manitou MLT 840
Part 52506420. A machine with a faulty sensor stays parked, even if it otherwise runs.
We supplied a load sensor, original number 52506420, for a Manitou MLT 840 telehandler.
The load sensor watches how much the machine is lifting against how far the boom is extended. When it fails, the machine usually locks into a limited mode or refuses to lift at all. In practice that is the same as standing with failed hydraulics, even though the engine and drive are fine.
The job came in as "it will not lift and it shows a fault". That is how most inquiries start and that is fine. What matters is sending the machine type and serial number, because they tell us which sensor that particular unit has. The MLT 840 had several versions during production and they differ at the connector.
